Letters from Heaven

Have you ever gotten an answer to a question or situation that ONLY God knew you were in prayer about? When you have a personal relationship and stay in fervent prayer, God does answer. He may use a phone call, a card in the mail, something on the radio, the television to get that needed answer to you, or better yet..by His Holy Spirit. Matthew 6:33

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (NIV)

My husband was unemployed due to health problems for many years. I was the soul supporter of my family. I really depended on God's word to see me through daily. If I wasn't praying for physical strength to edure, I was praying for needed funds to come in as I operated a beauty shop in my home. For many years I had to truly trust Him for my provisions . It was awesome the way God would always meet my needs. There were days when it looked like every customer was going to cancel. I really needed every penny to make ends meet. I was very grateful that I could draw encouragement from God's word to keep me going. I learned to walk by faith and definitely not by sight early on.

On one of these days every needed appointment cancelled...BUT the next day I got calls to do bigger money procedures. I would make above and beyond what I was trying to make the day before. I had this jar on my styling counter. It was labeled V.I.P. This jar was specified to help the needy (not me) . All of my tips would go into this jar. There were many times that I was TEMPTED to BORROW from it, but never did. As I thanked The Lord at the end of this day for his financial provisions.,..His Spirit drew my attention to this jar. (VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE)...He reminded me of how many times this collected money had been used to feed a family, pay utility bills, supply special holiday meals , and even a graduation gift. "Don't worry, you will reap what you have sown" As He brought back to my remembrance of how this money had been used in the past, I found myself SMILING again. It was like getting a personal LETTER FROM HEAVEN, just in time. Got any knee mail answers lately?

The Soul Filling Station

Do you find yourself asking "WHY Me Lord" in alot of
trials and adversities that come up in your life? If you truly seek The Lord for an answer, be willing to HEAR Him answer.

I guess I was being human and feeling sorry for myself this day. I usually go to the positive side of any situation to hold on to. This day I was physically, spiritually and emotionally worn out. I operated a beauty shop in my home and some christians had nick named it " The Soul Filling Station". I was always ready to share what The Lord was doing, what He had done and what He was doing for me. I wore my scriptuire T-Shirts as my daily uniform. This was an open door invitation to my customers to talk, share or even pray if they needed. I was asking God to strenthen me once again this morning before opening. I
also prayed that everyone would be always able to see the Jesus in me, and not just me as a person. Even though I have a personal relationship with The Lord, I still ask questions. O.K. God here I am again. Below is another of those questions and what he answered.

Why Lord is my life so full of trials? How can I seem to help others when I am not even able to solve my own personal problems as well? I know that I know , that I am truly trying to follow The Word and be the best christian that I can be. but still Why?..Then in an unaudible BUT clear voice..then said to me.

Without a Battle, there are no scars
Without scars, there is no need for healing
Without healing, there is no testimony
Without a testimony, there is no witness

You have to go on your path of life's happenings to be who you need to be in order to help others get them to where I want them to be...I now truly understand God's Word. Romans 8:28

All things work TOGETHER for the good of those that are called ACCORDING to Hisvpurpose and plan. So relax and together let us enjoy our journeys to become all that we can be for the kingdom of God . Let's share
our stories with the World. To God be given all of the Glory..What are you thankful for. Have you talked with God on an intimate level lately?. Try it, He will love to hear from you...

They That Wait

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall
Mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

How many times have you heard this scripture quoted? I have faithfully clung onto this verse during all of my great trials and adversities. On one of those days I found myself asking why Lord, why me, and by His Spirit I was drawn to look at a plaque on my shop wall with this very quote.

As I faithfully read it once more, The Lord brought to my attention that one small word but. He spoke to my spirit and said "When someone says but, there is usually more to come or be said." Then I found myself smiling. There is always more to come when Our Lord is part of our life and we live by His Word. He then instructed me to take the word but and turn it around and see what it spells then. I did ...b u t reversed spells t u b . " Get in and relax, I am still in control." I found myself now laughing instead of worrying about the crisis of that day. Our God does have sense of humor... Have you hand an interested revelation from the Lord? Send it in. Let's all smile together.

How It Came To Be

You may be wondering how the name "The Lighthouse Tells" came about. Well, it is the name that my friends had given my grandmother. She was an inspiration to me since I was 5 years old. She used to tell us stories that had a message behind them. Now that mantle has been passed on to me and I am going to share with you some very inspirational stories and testimonies of God's love and favor. Each week I will post these inspirational stories for you to gain strength from and help you to carry on.
